OUR STORY
Liberty Farms was established in 2015 in Crawfordville, Georgia by Tucker and Emily West. Tucker and Emily both come from farming families that span generations with both being raised on farms. Liberty Farms is located on land that Emily's family has been farming since 1907. She is the 5th generation to continue this way of life on the very land where her ancestors began farming.
Tucker has been working with animals on his family's farm since he was a small child. He began growing and selling goats when he was a teenager. Tucker put himself through college and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in agribusiness. He supported himself through his work on the farm.
Tucker and Emily, as Liberty Farms Livestock, currently raise Katahdin and Dorper sheep. Their focus is on raising maternal ewes that raise healthy lambs for quality meat. They currently have over 400 head of sheep and work their farm together.
Liberty Farms Livestock is located just minutes off I-20 between Augusta and Athens, Georgia. They are also proud members of the Georgia Sheep and Wool Growers Association, and are a Georgia Grown agribusiness.
OUR PRACTICES
Liberty Farms Livestock produces local, pasture raised meat with no hormones. We sell direct to the customer with excellent customer service and expertise. Our meat is very flavorful, which is due to our ethical practices with the animals. Our herd is grass fed and grain finished and always fresh from the farm!
